These protestors have taken to the streets of Lahore to protest against the ongoing killing spree of Shias across the country. The recent killing of a shia lawyer has inflamed anger amongst the people as hundreds gathered around the Punjab assembly, demanding immediate actions against the killers.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Protestors chanted anti-Government slogans blaming the government for failing to provide security to the Shias across the country as targeted killing has not stopped.

Shia Organizations from all parts of the country passed a resolution giving a 3 day deadline to the government to ensure that killers of the shia lawyers are punished.

A shia lawyer, Shakir Ali Rizvi was shot outside the Lahore High Court Friday, when he was travelling in his car. Shia Organizations attended the funeral and denounced all those who are out to target them.

Shia leaders say such killers are funded and aided by US and Israel, who are afraid to see the unity of Muslims after the anti-Islam movie and want to divert the effort towards sectarian violence and killings.

Lawyers community also boycotted all operations today condemned the negligible incident.

The killing has flared anger amongst the shia community who look forward towards the Punjab government for security and justice.

Shia Organizations have strongly condemned what they call the targeted killing of their lawyer. They have warned the government of a protest campaign if the killers are not arrested and punished.
